Tefellin (23 Feb) "POST ARAFAT MID-EAST: THE TIME FOR THE
"LITTLE HORN" Part 2"
King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein King of Jordan
Abdullah bin Al-Hussein King of Jordan
(In Hebrew/Aramaic at the time of the writing of the book of Revelation a possible name to be on the lookout
for could likely have been something akin to Abdullah ben El-Hussein King of the Ammonites spelled: aleph beit daleth lamed
lamed hey beit nun aleph lamed hey samek samek nun mem lamed kaph beit hey ayin mem mem nun mem and the gematria - alpha-numeric
equivalence - for this name is: 1 + 2 + 4 + 30 + 30 + 5 + 2 + 50 + 30 + 5 + 60 + 60 + 50 + 40 + 30 + 20 + 2 + 5 + 70 + 40
+ 40 + 50 + 40 = 666) is the 43rd generation (Christ was the 42nd generation from Abraham ref Matthew 1:17) direct descendant
of Muhammad. King Abdullah assumed his constitutional powers as King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on February 7, 1999
(Shevat 21, 5759), the day his father, the late King Hussein, passed away. King Abdullah is claimed to be committed to building
on the legacy left by the late King Hussein to further Jordan's democratic institutionalization and political pluralism, while
working for a just and comprehensive peace in a climate of openness and tolerance.
Born in Amman on January 30, 1962, (Shevat 25, 5722) King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein is the eldest son of the late King Hussein
and has four brothers and six sisters. King Abdullah began his education at the Islamic Educational College and received his
secondary education at St. Edmund's School in Surrey, England, Eaglebrook School in Massachusetts, then at Deerfield Academy
in the United States of America. In 1980, King Abdullah entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom,
where he received his military education. King Abdullah attended Oxford University
in 1984, undergoing a one year Special Studies course in International Politics and World Affairs. Upon returning home, King
Abdullah bin Al-Hussein continued his military path, gaining experience and working his way to the rank of Captain and the
Commander of a Tank Company in the 91st Armored Brigade. From 1986 -1987, also as Captain, King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein was
attached to the Royal Jordanian Air Force's Helicopter Anti-Tank Wing as a Tactics Instructor, where he received qualification
as a Cobra Attack Helicopter Pilot. In 1987, King Abdullah attended the School
of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and was in residence as a Mid-Career Fellow. He undertook
Advanced Study and Research in International Affairs under the auspices of the Master of Science in Foreign Service Program.
Upon returning home, King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein was assigned to the 17th Tank Battalion,
2nd Royal Guards Brigade and in the summer of 1989, he became Battalion 2nd-in-Command, with the rank of Major. In 1991, King
Abdullah was the Armor Representative in the Office of the Inspector General. He was promoted to Lt. Colonel at the end of
the year and assumed command of the 2nd Armored Car Regiment in the 10th Brigade.
Upon handing over the battalion in January 1993, King Abdullah was promoted to full Colonel and assigned as Deputy Commander
of the Jordanian Special Forces. In June 1994, he was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General, and assumed command of the
Royal Jordanian Special Forces, after having served as Deputy Commander for six months. King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein was appointed
commander of the Special Operations Command on October 1997, and in May 1998, he was promoted to the rank of Major General.
In addition to his career as an army officer, King Abdullah has served his country many
times in the official capacity of Regent in the absence of King Hussein, and he regularly traveled with the late King Hussein.
Before his accession to the throne, King Abdullah represented Jordan and his late father on visits to many countries throughout
the world, and developed close relationships with leaders and officials of a number of Arab countries during the course of
his career. King Abdullah married Queen Rania on June 10, 1993 (Sivan 21, 5753).
Their Majesties have one son, Prince al-Hussein, born June 28, 1994, (Tammuz 20, 5754) and one daughter, Princess Iman, born
September 27, 1996 (Tishri 14, 5756). King Abdullah is a qualified frogman, pilot
and a free-fall parachutist. His other interests are car racing (he is a former Jordanian National Rally Racing Champion),
water sports, scuba diving and collecting ancient weapons and armaments.
The area termed TRANSJORDAN (beyond [East of] the Jordan) is a large plateau east of Jordan river, comprised
of modern Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In the New Testament times, it was the region of the Perea and the Decapolis; in Old
Testament times, the region encompassed Moab, Ammon, Gilead, Bashan and possibly parts of Edom. The region is associated with
Moses; Joshua; the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh; King David; The Nabateans (Arabian tribe named in 1 Maccabees 5:25
and 1 Maccabees 9:35. Their king, Aretas IV, controlled Damascus when Paul was there (2 Corinthians 11:32). Capital was Petra.).
Consider: Revelation 2:12 "And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things
saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat
is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr,
who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.". Pergamos was the principal metropolis of Mysia, in Asia Minor. One of the
"seven churches" was inaugurated here: Revelation 1:11; Revelation 2:17. It was distinguished for its wickedness, bearing
in mind that our Lord says "Satan's seat" was there. The church of Pergamos was reprimanded for deviating from the truth and
embracing the doctrines of Balaam and the Nicolaitanes. The Doctrine of Baalam: Baalim meaning "Lord of the people of idols".
Baalam was the son of Beor, and was a man of some eminence among the Midianites - Numbers 31:8, Numbers 31:16. He lodged at
Pethor - Deuteronomy 23:4 in Mesopotamia - Numbers 23:7 It is evident that though dwelling among idolaters he had some knowledge
of the true God; and was held in such distinction that it was supposed that he whom he blessed was blessed, and he whom he
cursed was cursed. When the Israelites were encamped on the plains of Moab, on the east of the Jordan river, by Jericho, Balak
sent for Balaam "from Aram, out of the mountains of the east," to curse the Hebrews; except by the outstanding interposition
of God he was wholly inefficacious at fulfilling Balak's wish. Though Balaam could not curse Israel, but eventually pronounced
blessings on Israel - Numbers Chapter 24; yet he insinuated a way by which the divine displeasure might be caused to descend
upon them - Numbers 25:1ff. In a conflict between Israel and the Midianites Balaam was slain while fighting on the side of
Balak Numbers 31:8. The "doctrine of Balaam" is (Revelation 2:14), in part, an allusion to some churches today who "curse"
Israel by their "replacement theology" (Israel! has fallen and been replaced by the church, Israel gets all the curses, while
the church gets all the blessings), or those who openly oppose the nation of Israel and her people - i.e. anti-Semitic.
Pergamos stood on the banks of the river Caicus, about 20 miles from the sea. It is now
called Bergama.
Consider now Daniel 7:8 "I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them
another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots:". Three of the first horns were
plucked up; three of the leaders of the first members of the Arab league were deposed. Who or which countries does this refer?
Again for review purposes we list the Arab League members: 1.) Egypt, 2.) Iraq, 3.) Lebanon, 4.) Saudi Arabia, 5.) Syria,
6.) Transjordan (Jordan, as of 1949), and 7.) Yemen. Countries that subsequently confederated are: 8.) Algeria (1962), 9.)
Bahrain (1971), 10.) Comoros (1993), 11.) Djibouti (1977), 12.) Kuwait (1961), 13.) Libya (1953), 14.) Mauritania (1973),
15.) Morocco (1958), 16.) Oman (1971), 17.) Qatar (1971), 18.) Somalia (1974), 19.) Southern Yemen (1967), 20.) Sudan (1956),
21.) Tunisia (1958), and 22.) the United Arab Emirates (1971). The Palestine Liberation Organization was recognized in 1976.
Bible prophesy tells us Damascus will be destroyed, however it is not totally clear when this will occur: Isaiah 17:1 "The
burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.", Amos 1:5 "I will break
also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house
of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir { Some scholars have conjectured that Kir is a variant of
Cush (Susiana), on the south of Elam.}, saith the LORD.". Thus Syria, despite all the Soviet military hardware seems destined
to be one of the uprooted ones, to come under the control of the king of fierce countenance. The most likely other two candidates
are Iraq and Iran (not listed as a member of the Arab League) or Saudi Arabia. These countries constitute the bulk of military
and materiel sources. For the little horn to supplant these countries would indeed give him total power over the entire Arab
League and region. FYI: Aleph (an ox) = 1, beit (house) = 2, gimel (camel) = 3, daleth
(door) = 4, hey (window) = 5, vav (hook/nail) = 6, zayin (sword) = 7, heth (fence/wall) = 8, teth (snake/serpent) = 9, yod
